Honor Flight Austin is planning a Commemorative Honor Flight; taking our WWII Veteran Pearl Harbor Survivors to a solemn ceremony at the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. The commemorative ceremony will take place on December 7, 2014. The Honor Flight to Washington D.C. will depart on December 6, 2014. If a WWII Veteran Pearl Harbor Survivor lives outside of the Austin area, they will fly from an airport nearest to their residence. This Honor Flight is available to all WWII Veteran Pearl Harbor Survivors in the State of Texas.
Honor Flight Austin will arrange all accommodations; there is no cost to the Veteran.
Please send an email to: contact@honorflightaustin.org or call 1-888-530-8880 to refer and honor our WWII Veteran Pearl Harbor Survivors, here in Texas, to attend the ceremony in Washington D.C. on December 7, 2014.
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day: At 1:53 p.m. on December 7 annually, Friends and NPS co-host a ceremony at the Memorial to remember and honor all those who died when America’s naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy. More than 2,400 Americans were killed and more than 1,100 were wounded.
Without your support, this trip of a lifetime would not happen. You play a major part in honoring our Veterans. |
